The Alpha-E system is now actively supporting student education at Sofia University,
following its recent installation as part of Alpha Ring’s broader effort to accelerate
fusion skills development across Europe. Building on the milestone announced
earlier this year, the collaboration has moved from deployment into practical, hands-
on academic use.

On April 21, a dedicated workshop took place within the course Introduction to
Nuclear Fusion Systems, giving students direct access to real fusion technology.
Associate Professor Stiliyan Lishev, Head of the Radiophysics and Electronics
Department, led the session, walking participants through the Alpha-E’s core
components and guiding them through its operation. Students powered on the
system themselves and explored its key parameters, gaining practical insight into
fusion processes that goes well beyond theoretical study.

Charles Gary, CEO of Alpha Ring International, attended the workshop and saw
firsthand the impact that hands-on interaction with compact fusion systems can have
in an educational setting. The session highlighted how direct access to this kind of
technology can deepen understanding, boost engagement, and better prepare
students for future careers in the field.

This development is a natural continuation of the previously announced collaboration
(see here…), demonstrating how the Alpha-E is already integrated into teaching and
is actively helping to shape the next generation of fusion talent.
