Three National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University students gain laboratory experience as the industry–academia partnership deepens
TAIPEI, Taiwan — October 2, 2026 — Three students from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) have joined Alpha Ring International (聚界潔能) for a hands-on research internship at the company’s Taipei laboratory. The program gives students the chance to apply what they have learned in class to real research and development work.
Bridging Theory and Practice
Guided by Alpha Ring mentors, the interns take part in R&D experiments, gain experience collecting and analyzing experimental data, and see how a technology company turns research questions into engineering work.
Building on a Faculty Exchange
The internship builds on an exchange earlier this year. On August 19, 2026, faculty from NYCU’s Department of Electrophysics, including Prof. Yasushi Kondo, Prof. Pen-Li Yang, Prof. Kuo-Yi Chen and Prof. Shih-Ying Hsu, visited Alpha Ring’s Taipei office. The Alpha Ring team introduced its Alpha-E plasma device, demonstrated its tabletop NMR technology and led a laboratory tour.
Investing in the Next Generation
Alpha Ring is committed to developing the next generation of scientists and engineers alongside its research. Both NYCU and Alpha Ring hope to expand exchanges like this one, helping prepare students with hands-on skills and a global perspective for Taiwan’s technology sector.
