In mid-June, the Atlantic Council, a leading Washington, DC-based think tank, was invited to Taiwan by President Lai. Known for its focus on international security and global economic prosperity, the Council manages sixteen regional centers and functional programs and is a member of the Atlantic Treaty Association. Frederick Kempe, President and CEO of the Atlantic Council and a long-time friend of Alpha Ring Chairman Peter Liu, led the delegation. Liu, a founding member of the Atlantic Council, shares a strong bond with Kempe. During their visit, Alpha Ring hosted a dinner for the Atlantic Council.

Alpha Ring received an invitation to the Atlantic Council Leadership Award, underscoring its international influence and contributions to energy innovation. CEO Peter Liu noted the honor, as Alpha Ring joins elite companies like Bank of America, FedEx, Google, and Airbus as a Diamond Member and co-organizer of the Atlantic Council.
The company seeks U.S. support to advance Taiwan’s fusion technology research and proposes a regulatory framework similar to Japan’s. Additionally, Alpha Ring plans to host an energy summit in Taiwan next year to enhance research and development capabilities and foster collaboration among industry, government, academia, and research sectors.
