At the 10th Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma Physics, researchers and educators from around the world got a hands-on look at the Alpha-E Plasma tabletop system

BUSAN, Korea — October 17, 2026 — Alpha Ring International (聚界潔能) exhibited at AAPPS-DPP2026, the 10th Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma Physics, held October 11–16, 2026, at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center (BPEX) in Korea.

Organized by the Division of Plasma Physics of the Association of Asia Pacific Physical Societies (AAPPS-DPP) and co-organized by the Korea Institute of Fusion Energy (KFE), the conference is one of the region’s major gatherings for plasma science, covering magnetic fusion, laser-based plasma science, fundamental and applied plasma physics, and space plasmas.

Alpha-E Plasma, Live at the Booth

At its booth, the Alpha Ring team demonstrated Alpha-E Plasma, a tabletop system from the company’s Alpha-E fusion education family. Controlled through a laptop and ionizing small amounts of ambient air, the system demonstrated how compact plasma experiments can be integrated into teaching laboratories.

Strong Interest from Universities Worldwide

Over the first three days of the exhibition alone, the team connected with more than 30 researchers and educators from universities and research institutes across Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania. Several visitors had already seen Alpha-E in use at partner universities.

  • Hands-on plasma teaching: Many faculty members are building or expanding plasma physics courses and see Alpha-E as a practical way to give students lab experience.
  • Fusion research: Research groups expressed interest in using Alpha-E for experiments that support their fusion and plasma studies.
  • Industry collaboration: Plasma diagnostics companies discussed potential collaboration with Alpha Ring.

Looking Ahead

Alpha Ring is following up with the universities and research institutes it met in Busan. Next, Alpha Ring will exhibit at the 68th Annual Meeting of the APS Division of Plasma Physics, held jointly with the Gaseous Electronics Conference, November 2–6, 2026, in Chicago, where visitors can try Alpha-E Plasma at the company’s booth. Alpha Ring thanks the AAPPS-DPP organizers and KFE for hosting the conference.
